Overview
Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) play a vital role in connecting the community and police services, providing essential support to local residents. We are seeking applications from diverse communities, especially from Cardiff, Vale, and Mid Glamorgan sectors.
Application Criteria
1. Upload evidence of your Level 2 English and Maths certificates or equivalent qualifications during application. If unavailable, obtain certificates before applying or complete online verbal reasoning and calculation tests.
2. The application window opens at 9:00 AM on 28th April 2025 and closes at 12:00 noon on 13th May 2025.
Selection Process
1. Complete the national sift online within 7 days of invitation or by the application deadline.
2. Use a desktop or laptop for online tests, as mobile devices are incompatible.
3. Register and complete the application on the same device to avoid issues.
4. Contact HR if reasonable adjustments are needed for tests or interviews.
5. Successful candidates will be notified and invited to interview.
Important Notes
* Failing the online test disqualifies resits for 3 months.
* South Wales Police may close applications early if sufficient responses are received.
