Overview
Shoppertainment Management is looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our busy and dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong accounting experience to play a key role in the smooth running of our financial operations.
The Role
You will support the Finance function by carrying out a wide range of accounting duties, including but not limited to:
* Performing cashiering duties, including posting receipts to the debtors ledger, managing petty cash, and processing supplier payments.
* Raising customer invoices and posting them to the ledger.
* Maintaining the debtors ledger, issuing periodic statements, and chasing outstanding payments.
* Coding and processing purchase invoices accurately and promptly.
* Completing supplier statement reconciliations.
* Carrying out monthly bank, debtor, and creditor reconciliations to the general ledger.
* Checking, coding, and posting staff expenses.
* Investigating and resolving customer and supplier queries.
* Supporting the Management Accountant with ad hoc tasks and projects.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring-
* At least 3 years' experience in a similar role.
* Proficiency in Sage Line 50 as well as Microsoft Excel and Word.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work flexibly, meet deadlines, and handle pressure.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* A proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented approach.
