Access Talent Group are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our Building Design team in Birmingham. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering and a passion for creating innovative and sustainable building designs. As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and construction of various building projects, ensuring their structural integrity and safety.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with architects and other engineers to design and develop structural systems for new building projects.
* Conduct structural analysis and calculations to ensure that designs meet safety and building code requirements.
* Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and reports for building structures.
* Review and approve construction plans and provide on-site support during the construction phase.
* Utilize software and tools to model and simulate structural designs for performance evaluation.
* Stay updated with the latest industry standards, codes, and regulations related to structural engineering.
Candidate Profile:
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master's degree is a plus.
* Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
* Proven experience in structural design and analysis for building projects.
* Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAP2000, or STAAD.
* Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
* Passion for sustainability and innovative building design.
Salary: £30,000 to £34,000 Per Annum
