Job Summary
The successful applicant will be based on the Regional Bed unit at HMP Manchester and will provide direct care to patients with regards to both their physical and mental health needs. The role is varied and offers opportunities to develop existing skillsets. This is a full time permanent post with shift working, including night cover on a rotational basis. The post is to become part of a skilled and supportive integrated multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable.
Main duties
To support the multidisciplinary team within the Regional Bed unit at HMP Manchester and wider healthcare service, ensuring that high quality nursing care is provided to patients who reside in HMP Manchester. The role involves assessments, formulation and implementation of care plans, and ensuring optimal quality nursing care for patients at HMP Manchester. There is a strong focus on multidisciplinary working, offering the opportunity to work alongside a number of different professions to ensure a holistic approach to individual patient care.

* Registered Mental Health Nurse
Experience
* Essential: Experience of working within a similar clinical environment
* Desirable: experience of practicing in your clinical field within an MDT
