Are you an engineering or quality-focused professional looking to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment? A global aerospace interiors manufacturer is seeking an Operations Quality Technician to support production, inspect products, and ensure compliance with regulatory and customer quality standards.
This is a practical, shop-floor quality role, helping ensure products are built correctly, defects are prevented, and customers receive products that meet strict aerospace standards. You'll support inspections, audits, validations, and operator training, with the opportunity to act as a signatory for product release once fully trained.
What you'll be doing
Supporting the operations team and quality department to meet quality objectives.
Measuring and verifying product quality throughout the manufacturing process, including FAI, end-of-line inspection, and dimensional checks.
Conducting audits and on-the-job training in line with internal procedures, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Supporting industrial validation processes and helping maintain standards.
Contributing to QRQC / 8D problem-solving as a methods authority.
Analysing data to support continuous improvement initiatives.
Helping ensure compliance with manufacturing/repair/validation processes and processing customer complaints, non-conformances, and deviations.
Stopping production if quality risks are identified and defining conditions for restart.
Acting as EASA Form 1 signatory for parts and product release, and as a Certificate of Conformity signatory once trained.
Supporting operator training and promoting a culture of prevention, anticipation, and continuous improvement.
What you'll bring
Apprenticeship level (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
Solid engineering/quality background, with hands-on inspection experience in manufacturing or engineering.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Confident communicator, able to work across teams.
Good understanding of engineering drawings and measuring equipment.
Flexible and willing to support different areas of the business as needed.
Desirable experience
Experience within the aerospace industry.
AS9100 Internal Auditor qualification.
Working hours & shift premium
40 hours per week
Double day shifts, alternating between mornings and afternoons
20% shift premium applied for afternoon shifts
