Lead Estimator, Mechanical Systems

Responsibilities
* Leading our estimation and proposal team.
* Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned engineering projects
* Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
* Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
* Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status
* Assign responsibilities and mentor project team
* Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
* Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions
Physical Requirements
* Safely and effectively lift, carry, and move objects of varying weights.
* Bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, climbing, balancing, standing, and walking, for extended periods and maintain the necessary physical dexterity and coordination.
* Work in various environmental conditions, which may include exposure to varying temperatures, weather, and noise levels
Skills / Qualifications
* Five (5) or more years of experience within the estimation, bidding, proposal process of mechanical systems.
* Experience in three of the following areas: Heavy Equipment, Processing equipment, pumps, hydraulics, machinery, manufacturing, pharma equipment, and/or automated equipment.
* Possess a P.E., and/or Project management qualification (PMP) (CPM) or equivalent years of experience; not required.
* Excellent knowledge of design and visualizations software such as AutoCAD
* Experience as a Project Engineer, Systems Engineer and/or Mechanical or Electrical Engineer, or Project Manager.
* Must have at least two of the following technical skills: ERP systems, SCADA, PLCs, AutoCAD SketchUp, MRP, CRM, MS Office, MS Excel, Google docs.
* Advanced MS Office skills
* Familiarity with rules, regulations, best practices and performance standards
* Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
* Project management and supervision skills
* Decision making ability and leadership skills
* Time management and organization skills
* BS degree in Engineering or relevant field
