An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, experienced, and organised Senior Administrator to join the Neuro Rehab Service. As a Senior Administrator, you will play a crucial role in leading a team of administrators to provide high-quality administrative support across a range of clinical services. This is an ideal role for someone with a strong administrative background, excellent communication skills, and experience in supervising or coordinating a team.

We are seeking a confident administrator who is ready to take the next step in their career and contribute to delivering exceptional patient care within a truly integrated service.

Main duties of the job

1. Line manage and supervise a team of administrators to ensure smooth and efficient support to our Neuro-Rehab clinical teams.
2. Coordinate workflow, manage workloads, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
3. Act as the primary point of contact for clinical team leaders and managers, offering administrative expertise and support.
4. Support service delivery through high-quality data reporting, meeting coordination, and day-to-day operations.
5. Play a central role in developing and refining administrative procedures and SOPs across the service.
6. Respond to patient and professional queries with professionalism and confidentiality

Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria

10. GCSE level 4/C or above in English and Maths or equivalent experience/qualifications
11. Educated to A level, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent

Desirable criteria

12. Leadership/Management Qualification or must be able to evidence experience of leading and managing a team
13. IT Qualification e.g., RSA/European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent.

Experience

Essential criteria

14. Previous experience managing others
15. Relevant experience of working in an office environment as an administrator
16. Experience of handling confidential and sensitive data

Desirable criteria

17. Experience of working in healthcare or public service administration
18. Experience working in Community Stroke or Neuro Rehab Service

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Essential criteria

19. Extensive administration experience working in the NHS or other large complex organisation.
20. Experience leading teams and providing direct line management to admin & clerical staff
21. Proficient in using Microsoft Office including word, excel & outlook

Desirable criteria

22. Experience of using a patient administration system such as EMIS and SystmOne
23. Understanding the NHS requisitioning, ordering, and receipt of goods procedures

24. Able to maintain high standards of confidentiality
25. Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise effectively in order to meet deadlines

Desirable criteria

26. Able to show initiative and challenge processes with a view to improving patient pathways or admin processes
