We are seeking a driven and experiencedBusiness Development Manager (BDM)to join our expanding team. This is a key role focused on increasing our client base, building strong industry relationships, and driving revenue growth as we continue to establish ourselves as a leading technology partner within the surveying profession.
Role Description
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating Scafol-IO's growth by identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with prospective and existing clients, and positioning our software as an essential tool for residential surveying businesses.
You will lead the entire sales process from prospecting and presenting to negotiating and closing deals, while working closely with technical and product teams to ensure a seamless client experience. This role requires an individual who understands the challenges faced by surveying professionals and can effectively communicate how Scafol-IO’s solutions add value.
Key Responsibilities:
* Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities within the residential surveying and property services sectors
* Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and key industry stakeholders
* Deliver engaging product demonstrations and presentations, tailored to the needs of prospective clients
* Understand client requirements and provide consultative solutions using Scafol-IO’s CRM and report-writing software
* Prepare and deliver proposals, quotations, and contracts in line with company objectives
* Negotiate and close new business agreements to meet or exceed sales targets
* Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to inform strategic decisions
* Collaborate with internal teams—including marketing, technical support, and product development—to ensure client satisfaction and continuous improvement of our offerings
* Represent Scafol-IO at industry events, networking opportunities, and trade shows to raise brand awareness
Required Skills and Experience:
* Proven track record of success inbusiness development, sales, or account management, preferably within the surveying, property, or construction sectors
* Deep understanding of the surveying profession, including the challenges and requirements of surveyors and surveying businesses
* Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels
* Strong consultative selling abilities with a solutions-oriented approach
* Proficient in conducting market research, identifying trends, and using data to support decision-making
* Ability to work independently, self-motivated, with a results-driven mindset
* Collaborative team player who can work effectively across departments to achieve shared goals
* Experience or familiarity with CRM systems, SaaS products, or surveying software is highly desirable but not essential
* Knowledge of residential surveying processes, property reporting, or related technologies is a significant advantage
