Role: Locum Consultant in Ophthalmology
Rates: £98.50 per hour (PAYE)
Shifts: 09:00am - 17:00pm, Monday to Friday
Details: Primary Care, General, AMD, Glaucoma, Laser & Theatre

In your role as an Ophthalmology Doctor at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, you will rely on your surgical skills, dexterity, and coordination to treat a diverse range of disorders, improving or restoring a patient\'s sight. Your knowledge will help you explore treatment possibilities and contribute to a rewarding career.
Main Duties/Responsibilities
As an Ophthalmology Doctor with Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board you will:
* Provide routine care, diagnose and treat eye diseases and injuries, and perform corrective surgeries
* Manage emergency and specialist eye treatment clinics
* Liaise with medical and non-medical staff to ensure quality treatment
* Support patients and their families, communicating clinical information to explain findings clearly
* Communicate with patients on shared decision making
* Lead or participate in multidisciplinary teams where appropriate
* Assess and prioritise patient needs, delegating effectively
* Recognise and report changes in a patient\'s condition to the team
* Perform basic administrative tasks
Qualifications/Licenses/Certifications
* Be a GMC-registered Doctor (you do NOT need to be on the Specialist Register)
* Relevant experience at Consultant level, or references to support transition up to Consultant level
* Evidence of stand-alone Right to Work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available for locum roles)
* Pass an enhanced DBS check
