We are seeking a Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join a dedicated team in a specialist SEMH school based in Ely. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex emotional and behavioural needs.
About the Role:
* Full-time, term-time position in a specialist SEMH provision
* Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to help them engage in learning
* Assist the class teacher with planning, preparation, and classroom management
* Foster a safe, nurturing environment to promote students' emotional and academic development
* Implement tailored strategies to manage behaviour and support emotional regulation
* Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team, including therapists and SEN professionals
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent
* Has experience working with children or young people with SEMH, ASD, or additional needs (desirable)
* Demonstrates empathy, patience, and strong behaviour management skills
* Is passionate about inclusion and helping every child reach their potential
* Can build positive, trusting relationships with children who have experienced trauma or adversity
