About the Role — Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

Location: Sale
Salary: £101.40 per day
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 3:45 pm (Term Time Only)
Start Date: ASAP

This role involves supporting children with high-support SEN and SEMH in specialist and mainstream schools. Some pupils may communicate non-verbally, making creativity, emotional intelligence, and patience key to success in this role.

You will support pupils with:

Milk Education offers more than just a learning support and SEN teaching assistant role — you receive ongoing support and professional development tailored to your career goals.

Training and CPD:

* Free CPD courses, including Makaton, PECS, Autism Awareness, behaviour and de-escalation training, and trauma-informed practice.
* Access to continuous professional development that directly supports applications to psychology and therapy postgraduate programs.

Wellbeing and Support:

* Access to a mental health and wellbeing platform with counselling support available.
* A dedicated consultant who works with you to secure roles aligned with your future career pathway.

Additional benefits:

* Term-time only schedule for a strong work-life balance.
* Referral bonus scheme.
* Opportunity to work in values-led schools that prioritise inclusion and emotional wellbeing.

Who We’re Looking For

* Psychology, Art, or Creative graduates
* Individuals who are caring, patient, and passionate about supporting children
* Those who understand or want to learn about supporting children with SEN and SEMH in practical settings.

If you are ready to take the next step towards your future career — while making a genuine difference in the lives of children — we would love to hear from you. Please reach out at to discuss this opportunity further!
