Job Title: Tax Manager - EMEA Location: Fully remote (UK-based residency required) Contract: 4 months, Inside IR35 Day Rate: £400 per day Reporting to: Director, International Tax The Opportunity An international organisation with a strong presence in the defence sector is seeking an experienced Interim Ta x Manager - EMEA. This is a fully remote UK-based contract role, lasting 4 months, paying £400 per day (Inside IR35). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing direct and indirect tax compliance activities across a wide portfolio of EMEA entities, ensuring statutory obligations are met while supporting broader corporate tax reporting and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead preparation and review of direct and indirect tax (VAT) returns for EMEA entities, working with internal finance teams and external tax advisors. Oversee approval and execution of all EMEA tax payments in line with statutory deadlines and internal controls. Support international tax reporting, including preparation of Provision to Return (PTR) documentation. Act as the primary contact for auditors on tax matters, ensuring timely completion of audits and reporting obligations. Provide ad hoc tax compliance support and contribute to special projects as required. Qualifications & Experience Recognised professional qualification in tax and/or accounting (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA or equivalent). Significant experience managing direct and indirect tax compliance within a multinational environment. Strong knowledge of VAT and corporate tax compliance across EMEA jurisdictions. Proven ability to work effectively with external advisors, auditors, and cross-functional teams. Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with tax reporting/compliance systems preferred. Personal Competencies High level of professional integrity and commitment to compliance.
