Job Title: Community Care Assistant – Barnsley Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire Hours: Full-time available Salary: £13.70 per hour paid travel time between calls The Role: We are looking for a caring and reliable Community Care Assistant to support clients in their own homes in Barnsley. This is a hands-on role providing practical support and companionship, helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life. Key Responsibilities: * Assist clients with daily living tasks as required (e.g., meal preparation, light domestic support, companionship). * Provide support with personal care if needed, following care plans and guidance. * Travel between clients’ homes safely, with travel time paid. * Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and families. * Report any changes in clients’ needs to the supervisor promptly. Candidate Requirements: * Previous experience in care or support work preferred but not essential; full training can be provided. * Compassionate, patient, and reliable. * Ability to work independently and manage your schedule efficiently. * Flexible approach to working hours. * Driver with access to a vehicle Additional Information: * Long visits of up to one hour. * Paid travel time between calls. * Full-time hours available for the right candidate.
