Overview
We are currently recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a young adult with complex care needs within the community in Henfield, East Sussex. This is a 2:1 care package, and you will be working as part of a dedicated team supporting an individual with significant physical disabilities and complex health needs. The role requires carers who are compassionate, patient, and confident supporting individuals with complex care requirements.
Responsibilities
* Supporting with PEG feeding and enteral feeding pump
* Assisting with suctioning when required
* Supporting with nebulisers and oxygen when needed
* Monitoring seizure activity and reporting concerns
* Full moving and handling support (2:1 care)
* Supporting with positioning and postural care
* Assisting with personal care and continence care
* Providing emotional reassurance and companionship
* Observing and responding to non-verbal communication cues
About You
* Experienced in complex care or neurological conditions
* Comfortable supporting PEG feeding and suction awareness
* Patient, calm and attentive to client needs
* Confident working within a 2:1 care team
* Reliable and committed to delivering high-quality care
* Experience supporting individuals with complex disabilities, epilepsy, or neurological conditions is highly desirable
Environment
The client lives at home with family support in a friendly household environment. Please note there are dogs present in the home, so applicants must be comfortable around pets.
