As our Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor, you will join our team to engage, coach and ensure we deliver within our company’s adherence with dangerous goods and associated regulations across our business on a (up to 7 months) FTC. This is a great opportunity to coach and engage with stakeholders on undertaking the carriage of dangerous goods and support with the development and implementation of site safety practices and processes.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Coach, advise and support customers/stakeholders with safety practices with a key focus on dangerous goods management.
2. Support, develop and implement site procedures and processes to ensure compliance is best-in-class, such as:
o Marking, labelling and packaging requirements are all met to relevant requirements for transporting dangerous goods.
3. Monitor compliance with the requirements governing the carriage of dangerous goods across the following primary areas:
o CDG (Bulk) and ADR (Road), Sea (IMDG) and occasionally Air (IATA) for retail contracts.
4. Maintaining Group Dangerous Goods Compliance, including identifying gaps in guidance, policy, annual reporting, training, and regulatory changes.
5. Supporting investigations involving dangerous goods and non-conformances and implement strategies to prevent re-occurrence.
6. Preparing and delivering Dangerous Goods Awareness training to sites and customers operations that are involved in the transportation of dangerous goods.
7. Demonstrates expertise in developing, implementing, and maintaining a Safety Management System for Dangerous Goods operations.
Note: This on-site opportunity is based in our Safety Training Centre, Bittersby House, Lutterworth (with the requirement of national travel).

6. Strong knowledge and experience in DSEAR and the ability to complete risk assessments, site inspections and provide expert advice surrounding the storage and handling of retail dangerous goods.
7. DGSA qualified with knowledge in COMAH regulations.
