Interim HR Business Partner - 12 months
Manchester City Centre | Hybrid
If HR is done well, it changes organisations. If it’s done brilliantly, it changes lives.
We’re working with a large, purpose-led organisation whose work genuinely makes a difference to people, communities and businesses across the UK.
With over 1,000 colleagues and multiple services operating across the country, they are looking for an HR Business Partner to work alongside senior leaders and help shape the next chapter of their people strategy.
This is not a policy-writing, back-office HR role. It’s about influence, challenge and impact.
The role
As HR Business Partner, you’ll sit alongside Managing Directors and leadership teams, helping them build high-performing teams while navigating change, growth and complexity.
You’ll be the person leaders turn to when they need straight advice, commercial thinking and practical solutions.
Your work will include:
* Partnering senior leaders to shape and deliver people plans aligned to business goals
* Supporting the organisation through significant change and transformation
* Coaching managers to build strong, confident teams
* Leading complex HR projects such as restructures, redeployments and TUPE
* Using workforce data and insight to highlight risks, trends and opportunities
* Supporting the hiring and development of senior talent
You’ll be part of a collaborative HR team, but trusted to operate with autonomy and credibility in the areas you support.
The person
You’ll likely already be operating at HR Business Partner level, or ready to step into that space.
You’ll bring:
* Broad generalist HR experience
* Strong knowledge of employment law and best practice
* Experience supporting organisational change
* The confidence to influence senior stakeholders
* A practical, solutions-focused mindset
CIPD qualification (or working towards it) would be expected.
Just as important is your style. You’ll be someone who builds trust quickly, brings calm thinking into complex situations, and focuses on what will genuinely move the organisation forward.
Why this role stands out
The organisation behind this role is values-driven and impact-focused.
For HR, that means being able to do work that is both commercially important and socially meaningful.
If you’re an HR professional who enjoys partnering senior leaders, solving real organisational challenges and helping build strong cultures, this could be a genuinely rewarding next step.
