Job Title: Value Stream Manager Employment Type: Permanent Reporting to: Operations Manager Department: SGV Working hours: Days (early finish on a Friday) Location: Global Point Description of role To achieve results exceeding budget expectations. Inspiring your team to develop, grow and maintain relationships through outstanding quality and delivery performance in parallel with focused and decisive cost management. Create and maintaining a safe working environment and a positive work culture. Main duties include The development and fostering of customer relationships, always being an advocate of RLC and achieving customer intimacy andunderstanding Act as a strong and inspirational leader and coach to the Value Stream members, ensuring all people actions and processes are initiated and followed through delivering enabled, empowered and engagedemployees Support and grow the CI culture to create value for the value stream Develop and maintain strong working relationships across the entire business in order to foster teamwork and collectiveaccountability. Profit & Cash - inspire and lead the team to be better thanbudget 100% customer satisfaction through on time delivery to the highest levels ofquality. Ensuring product quality, process quality andresponsiveness Ensure the delivery of productionplans by having the right people in the right place Ownership of all appropriate business tools and metrics, ensuring that they are used with maximum impact to drive Value Streamperformance Control of inventory as perpolicy. Leadership and developmentof; Working TeamLeaders Operators Inspectors Appraisals, feedback and development plans in place Management of Level 1 & 2 SIMmeeting Provide appropriate escalation, ensuring that all issues are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Ensure the utmost focus and highest standards with respect toHS&E. Ensure FOD free, creating a safe environment and be audit ready everyday Zero accident/incidents and no reoccurrence of previousissues Quarterly 6S audit score vs agreedtarget Stand in for Operations Manager as and when necessary. Experience Essential 3 years leadership experience in Manufacturing /Engineering environment Significant supervisoryexperience Demonstrates high team performance levels Delivery of performance improvement in a similar environment Desirable Profit and Loss accountmanagement Sound knowledge of workplace problem solvingtechniques Commercialawareness. Able to assess requirements for, and justify capital expenditure Relevant management experience Skills and Abilities Essential Evidence of problem solving which has resulted in clear addedvalue Proven experience in achieving targets in manufacturingmanagement Able to delegate tasks without losing ownership Demonstrates excellent verbal and numerical reasoningskills IT Literate specifically Microsoft office Problem Solving skills Good Communication Skills Leadership skills Desirable Financially astute and familiar with business accounting and budget processes Demonstrate application of Lean Methodology Setting development and achievement targets for self and others Personal Qualities Essential Proven ability to develop and motivate people andteams Willing and able to supportothers Makes difficult / unpopular decisions when necessary Able to act as rolemodel Effective personal timemanagement Excellent team player, capable of making an impact at alllevels Has high personal professional standards and maintains confidentiality when necessary Ability to use own initiative as well as work as part of a team Embraces and manages change and inspires others High levels of drive and enthusiasm Self-motivated Excellent influencing and negotiating skills Excellent communicator at all levels, with internal and external stakeholders Highly professional approach with the customers with excellent presentation skills Desirable Evidence of successful leadership, approachable, takes on fair share of tasks willingly Evidence of initiatives which have contributed to a success Demonstrate use of data driven techniques Evidence of written reports/ influencing management Training A desire to continually audit personal knowledge and skills and undertake further training and development Clear understanding of the role of training and non-training activities in personaldevelopment Clear understanding of your responsibility in the realisation of the benefits from your staff training and self-development Education / Qualifications Essential Educated to higher level or relevant experience Desirable Leadership qualifications Benefits 25 days holidays and 8 statutory holidays accrued during first years service which can be taken in hours.
