Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and reliable Class 1 HGV Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of Live Poultry across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Responsibilities
* Operate a Class 1 HGV lorry, in compliance with all road safety laws and company policies
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness
* Safely load and unload goods, ensuring proper securing of cargo,
* Plan routes effectively to meet delivery schedules and optimise fuel efficiency
* Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively
Skills
1. Proven experience in commercial driving.
2. Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for HGV operation
3. Excellent driving skills with a clean driving licence (Class 1)
4. Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as loading, unloading, and cargo securing
