We have an exciting opportunity for a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Technician to join Thames Water permanently.
This position will be responsible for R&M across our South London network, with occasional travel to North London when required.
What you’ll be doing as a R&M Technician
You will be the Leader of a two-person R&M Team, ensuring that all work undertaken is completed to the correct safety and quality standards.
Base location: South London (Area 5) – You can be based out of Darenth (DA27SR) or Brixton (SW21SB), but will be required to travel for work around the Crystal Palace & Croydon area.
Working pattern: 45 hours a week on a shift pattern, including a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
What should you bring to the role?
To thrive in this role, the essential criteria you’ll need is:
* Full UK Driving Licence and Street works (NRSWA)/SSSTS qualification required.
* Experience or training in repair and maintenance in the water industry.
* Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, working outdoors in all weathers.
* Use your initiative and problem-solve where repairs are required.
* Strong communication skills to explain technical messages simply.
* A can-do, positive attitude, open to new ideas and change.
* Self-motivated and confident in completing tasks to the best of your ability.
Additional skills and experiences would be advantageous:
* Having an EUSR Water Hygiene card, Service Avoidance L2, and/or a First Aid qualification.

* Salary from £34,300 per annum, depending on skills and experience.

* Performance Related Pay Plan (PRPP): Max 6%, On target 3%.
