Trainee Project Supervisor/Project Supervisor (Grade 2.1 – 2.2)*

Lincoln and Preston

£28,797.76 – £31,187.19 Per Annum Dependent On Experience

Due to our ongoing and upcoming projects and workload, we are looking to appoint a Project Supervisor or a Trainee Project Supervisor for an immediate start, on a permanent basis, subject to the successful completion of a three-month probationary period and a training plan for the Trainee role

You will be supervising teams of experienced archaeologists and trainees on a variety of projects, primarily based out of either our head office in Lincoln, or our regional office in Preston.

Trainee Project Supervisor Grade 2.1: £28,797.76 pa

We are open to receiving applications from those who are ready and have enough experience in the field to make the move into a more senior role, as Trainee Supervisors Grade 2.1. Our Award-winning Training Plan lasts for a minimum of 3 months and once completed, you will move up to Grade 2.2. You should be enthusiastic and willing to learn, confident and professional when speaking to contractors, clients and colleagues alike, comfortable with giving instructions and constructive feedback to other team members and have the ability to manage your time and meet deadlines.

Project Supervisor Grade 2.2: £31,187.19 pa

You will have at least 6 months experience of supervising commercial fieldwork projects such as watching briefs and small evaluations in the UK, working on your own and/or leading small teams, and preparing the subsequent grey literature reports.

Essential

For all levels the following are:

* Sound knowledge and understanding of British archaeology of all periods
* Experience of post-excavation analysis and reporting (desirable for Trainees)
* An enthusiasm and strong ability in archaeological field practices
* Willingness to work on your own or leading a team
* A courteous and professional manner
* Excellent computer literacy
* Experience of supervising staff (desirable for Trainees)
* Attention to detail
* Positive outlook
* Driving licence

Desirable

* Relevant archaeological qualification
* Experience of GIS packages such as QGIS3
* CIfA membership
* Geoarchaeological qualification
