Finance Assistant

Early Careers Apprenticeship Opportunity

Location: Based at our Head Office in Whyteleafe (CR3 0GG), just outside of Croydon.

Working Model: hybrid working - 2 days at head office and 3 days working from home, plus flexi core hours.

We have an early careers opportunity in our Finance department as part of the Cash and Reconciliation team. This role is ideal for someone eager to start their career in finance, studying and developing skills while gaining practical experience.

The apprenticeship will support your development, building financial and analytical skills, and providing rotation across essential finance functions.

The role

Initially joining the Cash and Reconciliation team, you will rotate through various functions, with responsibilities including:

* Accounts Payable: Processing and verifying invoices, reconciling supplier statements, ensuring timely payments.
* Reconciliation: Assisting with bank and account reconciliations for accuracy.
* Data Management: Inputting financial data into accounting software and maintaining records.
* Reporting: Supporting the preparation of management accounts and financial reports.
* Budgeting and Forecasting: Assisting in creating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
* Analysis: Conducting financial analysis to identify trends and insights.
* Support: Providing general support to the finance team and handling ad-hoc tasks.
* Professional Development: Working towards a professional qualification via the apprenticeship scheme, enhancing your skills for future career growth.
