Secondments
Applicants from within the NHS will be offered the position on a secondment basis only. Agreement must be obtained from their current employer before submitting the application.
Inter‑Authority Transfer
If the applicant works within the NHS and is successful, an Inter‑Authority Transfer (IAT) will be initiated via the Electronic Staff Record (ESR). This process retrieves key data from the current or previous NHS employer to support onboarding, including competency status, Continuous Service Dates (CSD) and annual leave entitlement. The applicant may opt out at any stage.
