Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Project Manager to join our Housing Investment & Asset Management team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead meaningful projects that directly impact the quality of housing services for our residents.

Job Introduction

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of projects including service improvement initiatives, procurement activities, and service reviews within the Housing Investment & Asset Management service. You'll work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard.

You will be supporting the programme manager with a range of tasks, including:

* Analysing business processes and producing step by step guides capturing current and future ways of working.
* Leading on a range of procurement projects that vary in value and complexity, producing contract waivers, service specifications, procurement contracts and mobilisation plans.
* Managing end-to-end project lifecycles, from initiation to post-project evaluation.
* Driving change management and supporting the implementation of new systems and processes.
* Gathering and analysing a range of data to help inform business decisions.
* Articulating problems and solutions in ways understood by all stakeholders.


What We're Looking For

* Project management practitioner certification e.g. PRINCE2 or equivalent project management experience.
* An understanding of social housing repairs and maintenance service.
* Experience in public sector procurement and change management.
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Additional Information

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is less than 37 hours or term‑time only.
