About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our recruitment agency on a full-time, fixed-term basis to cover maternity leave. This role requires hands-on experience managing high-volume, fast-paced payrolls for temporary workers, with a strong understanding of recruitment payroll processes and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Processing high-volume weekly payroll for temporary candidates
Managing multiple pay rates, timesheets, overtime and holiday pay
Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations, including PAYE, NI, and statutory payments
Handling payroll queries from candidates and clients
Maintaining accurate payroll and candidate records
Supporting payroll reporting
About You
Proven payroll experience within a recruitment agency or similar fast-paced environment
Strong knowledge of weekly payroll cycles and timesheet processing
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines
Confident using payroll software and Microsoft Excel
Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
Ability to work independently and prioritise workload effectively
