On behalf of our client in South Ayrshire, we are searching for a time served Maintenance Engineer. The successful candidate will be required to carry out planned and preventative maintenance of production machinery and to manage, resolve and prioritise daily repairs or technical problems that may arise during the shift. Key Responsibilities: To optimize the effectiveness of the machinery. To carry out a schedule of preventative maintenance and servicing of machines and equipment. Understand the operation of plant and machines, knowledge of the function, composition, and procedure of the production equipment. Track, monitor and manage the progress and report accordingly on the computerized maintenance system. Give commitment to overtime working and flexibility to ensure workloads are complete before leaving shift and to offer full support to maintenance colleagues. Actively participate in the development of apprentices / trainees, where required. Experience and Qualifications: Must be time served in an Electrical Engineering Discipline, Good numeracy and literacy skills. 18th edition (desirable). Ability to read and work with electrical drawings. An understanding of PLC & Drive Systems would be a distinct advantage. Preference given to factory industrial background. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritise workload based on manufacturing requirements. Excellent planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
