Overview
Social Worker role at Birmingham City Council (Fixed Term Contract – 10 months, maternity cover). Grade C- £35,412 - £44,075 with Golden Hello payments and additional terms; working 36.5 hours per week. Based in the Early Intervention Community Team (EICT) locations and working across busy Multi-Disciplinary Teams to facilitate Social Work practices.
Responsibilities
* Deliver person-centred practices to enable citizens to exercise choice, control and independence, and to build resilience.
* Focus on prevention and early intervention, supporting, guiding, and signposting individuals, and carrying out assessments using the 3 Conversations model in line with the Care Act 2014.
* Work within a legislative framework applying relevant legislation to conduct conversations and provide support and guidance.
* Collaborate effectively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team and in partnership with other stakeholders.
* Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work at pace, and resilience to deliver within required timeframes.
Qualifications and Experience
* Demonstrable Social Work experience.
* Ability to work positively within a Multi-Disciplinary Team, in partnership with stakeholders, with an interest in and skills to work within the EICT Pathway.
* Knowledge of the Care Act 2014 and ability to conduct conversations to provide support and guidance.
Requirements and Conditions
* Working within the legislative framework and in accordance with UK Home Office requirements for Right to Work and DBS clearance will be undertaken.
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check will be undertaken.
* Proof of Right to work in the UK will be required before any employment offer can be confirmed.
