The Winton Corps Community Centre is a busy expression of the mission of the church. The Cafe enables the work in the community and provides a space for food, conversation and connection with the local community. As the Assistant Cook you will support with the provision of the meals and work alongside a dedicated team of employees and volunteers. Working closely with the Retail Manager and Cook you will adapt the daily menu to suit the needs of our customers and use the provisions donated thus reducing costs and waste.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
1. Previous experience of preparing food and cleaning food preparation areas
2. Up to date knowledge of food hygiene regulations and requirements with a Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, or willingness to attain within agreed time scale
3. Previous experience of delivering high-quality customer service
4. Good communication skills with the ability to convey information to colleagues and customers effectively
