Our client is looking for a responsible welder. This is a Direct Placement position with our key manufacturing client. To be considered for this role, you will have a High School Diploma or GED along with 3 years of experience supervisor welding.
1. Prepare materials for welding; cuts, grinds and cleans metal.
2. Lead continuous improvement efforts in manufacturing, safety, quality, throughput, delivery, and operating costs
3. Perform weekly safety inspections, 5s inspections
4. TIG primarily and some MIG weld thin~thick gauge aluminum, stainless steel.
5. Conduct safety investigations as needed • Perform 5S audits/safety training
6. Read weld blueprints, engineered drawings, and follow work order requirements.
7. Dimensionally inspects welds and other Characteristics of parts being welded using tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges.
8. Complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules and within standard times
9. Follow all safety guidelines and wear all Personal Protective Equipment
10. Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 50 lbs.
Requirements
11. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent is required
12. Minimum of 3 years experience in Supervisor
13. 5 years of solid general computer skills required, proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel in particular, being proficient in math skills required
14. 2 year of basic welding and metallurgy required
15. Read, interpret, and process to work instructions
16. Maintain a neat and orderly workstation and promote overall good housekeeping practices
17. Excellent written and verbal communication skill

19. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office tools
