NFU Scotland (NFUS) – the leading membership organisation representing over 9000 Scottish farmers, crofters & growers – is looking for a dynamic and creative Communications Manager (Digital and Campaigns) to join our passionate team on the outskirts of Edinburgh.
About the Role
Reporting to the Communications Director, you’ll lead the planning and delivery of strategic, digital-first campaigns that promote NFUS’s priorities and amplify the voices of our members. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited about using multimedia content to connect with diverse audiences, from policymakers and media to farmers and the public.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead innovative multi-channel communications campaigns to support advocacy, public awareness, and member engagement.
* Produce and commission engaging multimedia content — including videos, podcasts, infographics, and blogs — that tells the story of Scottish agriculture.
* Support NFUS’s digital ecosystem (website, email platforms, social media, app), ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
* Use data to drive performance, interpret audience insights, and continuously improve engagement.
* Collaborate across policy, regional and membership teams to spotlight impactful stories and amplify member voices.
* Monitor and report on digital metrics, stay on top of trends, and ensure content is current, accessible, and brand-aligned.
What You’ll Bring
* A proven track record of at least 5 years experience delivering impactful digital campaigns with measurable outcomes.
* Strong storytelling and editorial skills with a flair for clear, creative, and accurate writing.
* Technical know-how in platforms like WordPress, Mailchimp, HubSpot, Canva Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
* Confidence in analysing data and turning insights into strategic actions.
* A collaborative mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to juggle multiple projects with ease.
* An understanding of (or keen interest in) Scottish agriculture and rural affairs is a bonus — but not essential.

What are we offering?
Annual salary of £35,000 - £40,000 commensurate with demonstrable knowledge, competence and experience.
38-day holiday entitlement per year (Inc. Bank Holidays)

You will be based in NFU Scotland’s Head Office in Ingliston (near Edinburgh Airport. Due to the location of our offices, having your own transport would be advantageous, but not essential.
