They are currently seeking a Electrical Design Engineer pr Grad +1/2 to join their Edinburgh office.
Role
* Assist in the design and specification of electrical building services systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, data/communications, and security systems
* Prepare detailed calculations (load assessments, cable sizing, lighting calculations, fault levels, etc.)
* Produce electrical layouts, schematics, and technical drawings using CAD/Revit
* Support the development of design reports, specifications, and technical documentation
* Attend site visits and surveys to gather information and monitor project progress
* Liaise with architects, mechanical engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to coordinate designs
* Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, regulations, and client requirements
* Assist with preparation of tender documentation and respond to technical queries
Qualifications/Experience
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
* Understanding of building services design principles
* Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards
* Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit (desirable)
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Enthusiastic, proactive, and keen to develop professionally
