We are pleased to offer two full‑time roles within the Finance Directorate: one in our Financial Accounting Team and the other in our Finance Core Accounting Team. Minimum qualifications, previous accounts experience and IT skills—particularly strong Excel skills—are essential. The Key Duties of the Posts Are
Core Accounting Team
* Calculating and processing accruals and prepayments for monthly expenditure in line with the month‑end timetable.
* Requesting invoices to be raised, ensuring that the correct coding and VAT treatment are applied.
* Undertaking monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations using Blackline for accruals and prepayments.
* Assisting in the process improvement agenda and ensuring standardised processes are transacted in the most efficient way.
* Planning and organising own workload to ensure all tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
Financial Accounting
* Planning and organising own workload to ensure all transactions are dealt with in a timely manner.
* Undertaking monthly balance‑sheet reconciliations using Blackline software for payroll deductions and pharmacy.
* Providing cover for processing payments and updating the cash book, including CHAPS payments.
* Assisting in the process improvement agenda and ensuring processes within the Financial Accounting section are transacted in the most efficient and effective manner.
* Providing cover for the calculation of provisions in relation to losses, including completion of control account reconciliations.
* Supporting the production of Annual Accounts.
