Key Account Manager – BeMS / BMS & Energy Solutions (Northern Region)
We are looking for an experienced and driven Key Account Manager to grow and manage key customer relationships across the Northern region, with a strong focus on Building Energy Management Systems (BeMS), Building Management Systems (BMS), and energy-efficient solutions. This role suits someone with a technical sales background who enjoys working at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and customer relationships.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in technical sales or key account management, ideally within BeMS, BMS, building controls, or energy solutions
* Relevant technical background or qualifications (electrical, mechanical, building services, or energy-related disciplines preferred)
* Strong understanding of HVAC controls, energy management systems, smart metering, or automation solutions
* Ability to build trusted relationships with consultants, contractors, facilities teams, and end users
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, both technical and commercial
* Self-motivated and able to manage workload independently across a large territory
* Strong customer focus with a commitment to delivering high-quality service
* Flexible, proactive, and results-driven approach
* Interest in sustainability, energy efficiency, and smart building technologies
* Full UK driving licence
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and develop a portfolio of key BeMS / BMS and energy solution accounts across the Northern region
* Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing technical and commercial support throughout the sales lifecycle
* Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring long-term satisfaction and repeat business
* Achieve and exceed sales targets and defined performance objectives
* Forecast pipeline activity, order intake, and project timelines accurately
* Produce detailed project estimates, technical submissions, and solution proposals for BeMS/BMS projects
* Develop new business opportunities with consultants, M&E contractors, system integrators, and end users
* Promote BeMS/BMS upgrades, energy optimisation projects, smart metering, and energy monitoring solutions
* Lead and support new initiatives, including system upgrades, retrofit projects, and energy efficiency programmes
* Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers throughout Scotland
* Conduct regular account reviews and performance meetings to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities
* Support and participate in marketing events, industry exhibitions, and customer engagement activities
* Act as a liaison between customers and internal engineering, commissioning, and service teams to ensure successful delivery
