We are constructing a energy-from-waste plant as part of an Integrated Waste Management facility in Essex. After extensive groundworks, construction has commenced with piling activities. This will be one of the largest energy-from-waste plants in the UK, involving an international team of engineers from groundworks to commissioning over 3.5 years.
The Contract Manager will be employed on a temporary basis (outside IR35), with potential for transfer to employee status. The contract duration will be specified.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Preparing and supporting ongoing contract discussions with EPC partners.
2. Monitoring and reporting on contract-related issues during execution.
3. Representing Indaver in discussions with contract partners.
4. Managing contract Minutes of Meeting.
5. Identifying and preventing upcoming contract issues, advising the project team.
6. Preparing, proposing, and conducting claims and registered letters when necessary.
7. Collaborating with group contract and procurement departments.
8. Reporting to the overall project director as part of the project team.
9. Handling all administrative matters related to the contract.
10. Adopting a constructive, hands-on approach to problem-solving.
11. Exhibiting excellent communication skills and being a team player.
12. Maintaining attention to detail, being meticulous and accurate.
Qualifications & Experience:
1. Proven experience with EPC contracts in the UK, preferably for EfW plants.
2. Deep knowledge of NEC3, FIDIC (Yellow Book), and ICHEME contracts in the UK.
3. Practical and theoretical understanding of warranties, liabilities, and contractual clauses.
4. Ability to combine contractual, financial, and technical knowledge.
5. Master's degree in engineering, finance, science, or law.
6. Residence around Essex is advantageous.
