About the role : The Role We are looking for a passionate and proactive Residential Development Officer to join our Learning and Development team. You will play a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality training and development initiatives for our Children’s Home Residential Services, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and promoting best practice. Key Responsibilities Support the development and implementation of workforce strategies. Design and deliver blended learning interventions tailored to residential childcare. Collaborate with internal teams and external training providers to ensure high-quality delivery. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness and compliance with Ofsted and health & safety standards. Manage projects and contribute to the Learning and Development Annual Service Plan. Provide expert advice on workforce development and training design. We have been rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted, following a 2023 inspection. This is a hybrid role based in Birmingham so you must reside within a suitable commutable distance around Birmingham and have the correct right-to-work documents to work in the UK. About you: We’re seeking someone with: A relevant qualification in training, learning & development, or residential childcare (Level 4/5 QCF or equivalent). Experience in delivering learning and development projects, ideally within residential childcare. Strong understanding of blended learning and the needs of children in care. Excellent communication, planning, and presentation skills. A proactive, solution-focused approach and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
