Overview
We’re looking for passionate people to join our Nursery Team here at Butlin's Bognor Regis. The Early Years Practitioner will be responsible for being a key worker and participating with planning, organisation and operation within the room. The Early Years Practitioner will also be responsible for providing a stimulating and varied programme of play alongside other team members, ensuring the safety and well-being of children at all times and working alongside the Nursery Leadership team to deliver a consistent ‘Parent/Carer/Children’s experience’ & ‘team experience’ whilst delivering the ‘key responsibilities & compliance’ of the Butlin’s Little Learners Day Nursery.
We provide an exciting and wide-ranging activity programme and understand and respect the need for consistency of care in our Nursery. You will assist in providing a safe, supportive and caring environment to ensure that all aspects of each individual child’s development are given full consideration via monitoring and implementing sufficient safeguarding policies. You will be proactive in the process of activity planning, child observation and development records on a regular basis, as well as be involved in developing and delivering a stimulating and creative atmosphere within the Nursery providing a wide activity programme for nursery sessions.
Responsibilities
* Be a key worker in the nursery room; participate in planning, organisation and operation within the room.
* Provide a stimulating and varied programme of play alongside other team members.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times.
* Work with the Nursery Leadership team to deliver a consistent Parent/Carer/Children’s experience and a positive team experience.
* Monitor and implement safeguarding policies; show strong knowledge of safeguarding and Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
* Contribute to activity planning, child observation and development records on a regular basis.
* Develop and deliver a stimulating and creative atmosphere with a wide activity programme for nursery sessions.
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding statutory requirements and the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum; caring and nurturing attitude towards children; excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Level 3 qualification in Childcare is desirable; Level 2 qualification may be suitable for progression.
Employment details
* Type: Full-time (40 hours per week).
* Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 5:45pm.
* Pay: fortnightly.
