The Perinatal Community Mental Health Team has an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our team.
Maternal mental health is a life‑saving, crucial and growing area of practice. The service works as a multidisciplinary team meeting the specific needs of ante‑ and post‑natal women with high‑quality care and links with GPs, health visitors, midwives and specialists in gynaecology, obstetrics, etc.
Key responsibilities
* Work independently and support the team in providing occupational therapy services to ante‑ and post‑natal women.
* Apply evidence‑based practice to deliver high‑quality mental health and psychological care.
* Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including GPs, health visitors, midwives and other specialists.
* Maintain and apply the Trust's vision and values in practice.
Qualifications & requirements
* Qualified Occupational Therapist with a Band 6 (or equivalent) salary grade.
* Good communication, problem‑solving skills and an interest in perinatal mental health are essential.
* Driver’s licence with access to a car for business purposes.
* An ability to demonstrate the Trust’s vision and values in practice is beneficial.
