Our care services extend within the community and at our In-Patient Unit (IPU), where patients and families are cared for by our clinical and medical teams. We are committed to supporting each patient and their family to the highest standard. Our invaluable IPU volunteering team is essential in providing this quality of care.
As an IPU volunteer, your main role will be to enhance our patients' experience and make their time in the hospice as comfortable as possible. You can support this care by providing practical and compassionate assistance to patients, their families, and staff, while helping to create a welcoming and friendly environment. Every moment matters for our patients and their families. Whether supporting patients to spend time with loved ones, reading together, participating in art classes, or sharing a special meal, these moments bring joy. IPU volunteering roles are vital in creating memorable celebrations and moments with family and friends.
