Our clients are leaders in hazardous waste, providing complex environmental services to some of the UK’s largest industrial businesses. With extensive specialist treatment infrastructure and a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and environmental improvement, they deliver high-value hazardous waste solutions across a wide range of manufacturing sectors.
We are looking to connect with experienced Business Development Managers who can drive growth across key industrial markets, manage strong pipelines of opportunities and engage with major producers of hazardous and industrial waste. The remit typically involves identifying new business, understanding complex customer requirements and developing environmental solutions that reflect the capabilities of leading providers in the hazardous waste sector. A consultative sales approach is important, ensuring customer needs are fully understood and translated into tailored, commercially viable propositions.
Typical day-to-day activities include managing opportunities throughout the full sales cycle, preparing proposals and working with internal teams to ensure solutions are technically robust and commercially sound. Collaboration with technical, operational and commercial colleagues is essential to delivering a strong customer experience. Maintaining accurate forecasts, managing CRM pipelines and contributing to wider market insight and business development planning are also key elements of the role.
We are particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have experience in business development within industrial or environmental services, supported by strong communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. The ability to engage senior stakeholders, manage long-cycle sales processes and work with a high degree of autonomy is important. Experience within hazardous waste or related environmental markets would be advantageous, alongside a proactive, results-driven approach and a commitment to developing sustainable customer solutions.
