We're on the lookout for a knowledgeable plant-loving, people-person to join the team in our newly refurbished Garden Centre.
Working mainly in the outdoor plant area, this role will suit someone who is naturally helpful, attentive and able to adapt to the changeable demands of the business.
This is a physically demanding role involving standing for long periods and regular lifting - please consider this before applying.
Hours of Work
* Tuesday to Saturday
* 9am - 5.30pm
* All shifts include a 30-minute unpaid break for lunch.
* Closed Easter Sunday, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, 27th December and New Year ' s Day.
Key Responsibilities
* Sharing your passion and extensive product and horticultural knowledge with customers in order to gain their trust and repeat business
* Providing ongoing care and maintenance of all plants including hand-watering in the warmer months and weed control
* Ensuring displays are eye catching and well maintained
* Finding solutions to customer enquiries
* General sales and operating the tills
* Dealing with stock and ensuring all items are correctly ticketed and priced
Our ideal candidate
* Must have good plant and horticulture knowledge
* Horticultural qualifications
* Production nursery experience
* Friendly, approachable individual who is able to adapt to different customer needs
