Overview
Worcestershire County Council is recruiting Relief Adults Support Workers (Promoting Independence Assistants) across Worcestershire. This is a zero hours contract role with various starting and finishing hours, day/evening/weekend shifts available.
Salary: £13.26 per hour plus a 14.49% enhancement for Holiday roll up.

Responsibilities
* Provide support as a Promoting Independence Assistant in reablement to help customers regain and promote their independence after hospital discharge or crisis intervention.
* Assist with daily living activities where needed, such as personal care (washing, personal hygiene, dressing), mobility support, and meal preparation.
* Encourage customers to do as much for themselves as possible, offering hands-on assistance only when necessary.
* Offer flexible support with a range of shifts to suit staff and service users, including day, evening, and weekend hours.

* Good communication and excellent organisational skills.
* Understanding of health, safety, and wellbeing of service users in their own homes.
* Travel across Worcestershire may be required; a full driving licence and own vehicle are essential.
Conditions & Requirements
* DBS check required; post is exempt under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment is conditional on a satisfactory DBS check.
* Zero hours contracts; various contract hours available; flexible working around family or studies.
