My client is a well-established and respected Chartered Accountancy firm with offices throughout Norfolk (this role can be based just outside of Norwich (West) or in North-East Norfolk (to suit). As part of their continued growth, the business is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their well established an experienced team of accountancy professionals.

The firm provide a variety of services which includes Auditing, Statutory Accounts, Bookkeeping, VAT Returns, Management Accounts and Tax advisory.
Due to the highly varied client base in which the firm support, the successful candidate will develop great exposure across all areas of accounting and business advisory experience.
This is a hands-on role suitable for a qualified accountant with experience in practice, who is confident managing a diverse client portfolio and providing a high level of service.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Managing a portfolio of small to medium-sized business clients across various sectors.
Prepare and review statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Prepare and submit corporation tax returns, VAT returns, and personal tax returns.
Oversee bookkeeping and management accounts prepared by junior staff.
Assist clients with HMRC queries, compliance, and tax planning.
Provide general business advice and support to clients.
Supervise and mentor junior team members, providing training and reviewing their work.
Liaise with clients, building and maintaining strong professional relationships.
Ensure work is completed in line with deadlines and regulatory requirements.
Key Requirements:
ACA / ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
Or part qualified with at least 3 years’ experience as a manager running a client portfolio
Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in UK accountancy practice
Strong knowledge of UK tax regulations, financial reporting standards, and HMRC systems.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, and IRIS or similar.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
A proactive and client-focused approach.
Desirable Requirements:
Previous exposure to client onboarding and practice development.
