Anderson Knight are once again supporting our established, Glasgow based client, for the recruitment of a Finance Manager.
The Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, control, and insight across the business. This position combines strong technical accounting expertise with commercial acumen to support strategic decision-making and operational delivery.
The role holder will actively contribute to a high-performance culture, partnering with stakeholders across the business to deliver sustainable growth, robust financial governance, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
* Lead and oversee end-to-end finance operations, including Payroll, Purchase Ledger, Subcontractor Ledger, and Credit Control, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and strong internal controls
* Own the timely preparation, consolidation, and presentation of monthly management accounts, delivering clear, actionable insights to senior leadership
* Ensure full compliance with all relevant HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) requirements, including CIS, VAT, and PAYE reporting
* Maintain integrity of the balance sheet through rigorous reconciliations, including intercompany balances across the Group
* Support the preparation of statutory accounts in line with UK GAAP
* Act as a key point of contact for external auditors and tax advisors, ensuring a smooth and efficient audit process
* Partner closely with Commercial and Operational teams to provide financial insight, challenge assumptions, and support decision-making
* Deliver robust cash flow forecasting and working capital management to optimise liquidity and support business growth
* Translate financial data into meaningful analysis, identifying risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives
* Support the Financial Controller in driving financial strategy, budgeting, and forecasting processes
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems, processes, and controls
* Collaborate effectively with finance teams across the Group and its subsidiaries to ensure consistency, alignment and best practice sharing
* Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted finance partner across the business
* Provide high-quality financial analysis and support on strategic projects, investments, and business initiatives
* Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support the evolving needs of the finance function and wider business
Qualifications & Experience
* Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CA, CIMA) with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualified experience
* Strong technical accounting expertise with in-depth knowledge of reporting standards and regulatory compliance
* Advanced Excel and financial modelling capabilities
