Job summary
Applications are invited for a Clinical Fellow Higher (ST3-5/ST6+) in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at Addenbrooke's Hospital, part of Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This post is available from 01 September 2025 for 6 months in the first instance. An extension of contract may be possible based on mutual agreement.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicants will be treated like all other Trainees within the Paediatric Emergency Department. They will be assigned an Educational Supervisor and will be able to attend the monthly departmental teaching program.
Applicants must meet the essential criteria outlined in the Person Specification section of the job description for the relevant grade of Fellow post that they are applying for.

Full Registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council at point of application is required.

Job responsibilities
Each year there are 30,000 paediatric attendances in the Paediatric Emergency Department, which includes an on-site urgent treatment centre and is the region's major trauma centre. Patient presentations vary from simple minor injuries to complex medical and trauma cases. The department is supported by RCEM PEM Consultants, RCPCH Acute Paediatricians, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, and a highly experienced paediatric nursing team.
