Were working with a growing technology business looking to strengthen its frontend engineering team with an experienced contractor.
The role sits within a modern product environment where engineering teams work closely with product and design to deliver customer-facing applications used at scale.
Theyre looking for someone senior enough to contribute technically from day one, help improve frontend standards, and build polished web experiences using modern JavaScript technologies.
What youll be doing
Building scalable frontend applications using TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
Developing reusable UI components and responsive customer-facing interfaces
Working closely with designers, backend engineers, and product teams
Improving frontend performance, maintainability, accessibility, and overall user experience
Supporting frontend architecture, testing, and engineering best practices
Contributing to feature delivery across modern web platforms
Working within an agile engineering environment focused on product delivery
What theyre looking for
Strong commercial frontend engineering experience
Deep understanding of TypeScript and modern JavaScript development
Experience building responsive, component-driven web applications
Good understanding of frontend architecture and scalable engineering practices
Experience working with testing frameworks and frontend tooling
Ability to work closely with product, UX, and engineering stakeholders
Comfortable contributing within fast-moving agile teams
Useful additional experience
Exposure to backend development with C#, Java, or Node.js
Experience integrating with APIs and cloud-hosted services
Experience within product-led engineering environments
Knowledge of modern UI/UX principles and accessibility standards
