ER Specialist (You must have extensive employee relations experience)
Location: Luton (Hybrid)
Salary: 40K
Our client, a global Managed Services and Specialist Staffing provider, is looking for an ER Partner to join their growing team. The role involves providing customer-focused, responsive, accurate, and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, employees, and flexible workers, in line with company policies, internal procedures, and legal requirements.
The Business
* Acts as an ambassador of the Group, working in line with company culture and values.
* Understands the company brands and their offerings.
* Delivers a first-class advisory service on employment and employee relations matters.
* Provides positive customer experiences throughout the employee lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Advice and Guidance:
* Advise managers on Employee Relations matters in line with best practices, policies, and legislation, considering commercial needs.
* Manage cases related to disciplinaries, performance, grievances, absence, TUPE, redundancy, and ACAS.
* Build effective relationships to promote good employee relations.
* Support and advise on client calls with managers.
* Respond to HR queries and update policies as needed.
* Coordinate with Payroll and HR Admin teams for processes and payments.
Case Management:
* Manage Employee Relations cases, ensuring timely responses aligned with statutory and company guidelines.
* Draft and review relevant correspondence.
* Support cases across employment sectors, including ACAS early conciliation.
* Facilitate occupational health referrals.
* Manage the query system for timely responses.
Technology and HR Systems:
* Maintain accurate data on HR systems.
* Generate reports as needed.
* Record all cases properly and ensure policy accessibility.
* Manage data in compliance with GDPR.
Relationship Management:
* Develop collaborative relationships with managers and HR colleagues.
* Liaise with HR Business Partners for Employee Relations support.
Change Management:
* Support organizational change activities.
* Guide managers through change processes with Employee Relations advice.
* Stay updated on employment legislation and HR best practices.
Projects:
* Contribute to departmental objectives.
* Review Employee Relations materials periodically.
Experience and Skills
* HR Advisory experience with a focus on Employee Relations and Employment Law.
* Proven case management skills.
* Knowledge of employment legislation and GDPR.
* Experience with HR Systems.
* Strong organizational, judgment, and decision-making skills.
* Excellent customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
* Effective communication and influencing skills.
* Experience in corporate or professional services sectors.
* Knowledge of TUPE and redundancy processes.
