Bring your energy to Aggreko as an Intercompany Accountant for the Europe North and DACH region based in Glasgow City Centre. The Intercompany Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and timely reconciliation of inter‑company transactions across Aggreko's global divisions.
Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with Group inter‑company policies and procedures, actively analysing and resolving mismatches, disputes, and aged settlement positions.
* Continuously monitor and manage inter‑company recharge and accrual accounts, identifying and resolving errors and instructing the SSC on necessary invoicing or accruals.
* Leverage system knowledge and global access to expedite inter‑company reconciliation and streamline the pre‑alignment and back‑up processes for recharges.
* Review, approve, and accurately code inter‑company invoices and accruals, closely monitoring mismatch reports to ensure timely correction of variances.
* Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with regional finance teams, serving as the primary point of contact for inter‑company queries from internal and external auditors, tax, and providing ad‑hoc analysis for management.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or Finance, qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
* Experience in a similar inter‑company accounting role within a global organisation.
* Previous experience of reconciliations and multi‑entity transactions.
* Expertise in M3 would be beneficial but not essential.
* Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with diverse regional finance teams.
