The Role
As a Majestic Wine Driver, you will meet and talk to different customers every day. This role is about managing the end-to-end delivery process and being an ambassador for the store to support an outstanding shopping experience for every customer.
Job Specifics
* Contract: Permanent
* Location: London (Islington)
* Hours: 18 Hours Per Week
* Must be able to work weekends and evenings
* Driving is a key part of the role; a full UK manual driver’s licence held for at least 12 months is essential
* Extra/full-time hours will be available during November and December
Key Responsibilities
At Majestic, customers are at the heart of everything we do. In this role, you’ll be an ambassador for the store and help deliver an outstanding shopping experience for every customer. Responsibilities include:
* Be the face of Majestic to delivery customers, ensuring excellent service
* Picking deliveries and loading the van
* Maintain the van to a high standard; keep it clean and complete compliance checks
* Deliver to customers’ homes, workplaces or venues (may include stairs) with a helpful attitude
* Communicate with customers to book deliveries and provide delivery time updates
* Find ways to improve driving efficiency and understand cost impact
* Drive confidently and safely as a Majestic ambassador
Knowledge & Skills Required
* Full UK/EU/EEA manual driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 penalty points
* Able to carry up to 18 kg (approximately 2 wine boxes)
* Confident driving in Central London
* Excellent time-management, delegation and problem-solving skills
* Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience
* Positive, can-do attitude with a focus on resolving problems
