1 Month Contract With A Local Authority Job Purpose To provide high-quality care, support, and assistance to individuals with varying needs, enabling them to live as independently and safely as possible. This role focuses on promoting dignity, respect, and choice, ensuring service users are supported in line with their individual care plans. Key Duties and Responsibilities Provide personal care (e.g., washing, dressing, toileting) sensitively and respectfully. Support individuals with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary requirements. Assist with mobility and use of mobility aids as required. Administer medication (following appropriate training and policies). Support individuals in accessing the community, attending appointments, or engaging in social activities. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including care notes and incident reports. Follow all safeguarding, health and safety, and infection control procedures. Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and health professionals. Promote independence, well-being, and person-centred care. Respond appropriately to emergencies and challenging behaviours. Essential Experience Previous experience in a care, support, or health & social care setting (paid or voluntary). Knowledge of person-centred care principles. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Understanding of safeguarding adults and children. Basic IT skills for completing records or online training. Desirable Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it). Moving and handling training.
