Job overview

The Chief Medical Officer’s Office is responsible for managing and developing the systems that have been put in place to support the Chief Medical Officer in their role as Responsible Officer for the OUH and the Executive accountable for job planning.

The post of Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Administration Assistant provides a vital support role to the successful management of this work. The role combines provision of a detailed and customer focused administrative service with strong technical support across a variety of systems used to support Revalidation and Job Planning processes at the Trust.

This is a busy role in which the post holder will be required to prioritise their workload, use their initiative and be able to adapt quickly in an ever-changing environment. The post holder will need to assimilate and apply information quickly, efficiently and accurately and work without direct supervision but within guidelines agreed with the Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Manager and the Systems Co-ordinators.

The post holder is line managed by the Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Manager but will also be required to provide ad-hoc support to the Medical Revalidation Appraisal and Job Planning Systems Co-ordinators, the Chief Medical Officer’s Business Manager, the Chief Medical Officer’s Executive Assistant, the Medical Director for Workforce and occasionally the Responsible Officer.

Main duties of the job
1. Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Manager to deliver the day-to-day running of Revalidation and Job Planning, key tasks including (but not limited to): Updating the online revalidation, appraisal and job planning system (SARD) with a variety of confidential information Updating SARD and GMC Connect with new starters and leavers including liaising with colleagues in HR to resolve queries under direction from the Medical Revalidation and Job Planning Manager. Inputting patient feedback data, creating reports and dealing with Multi Source Feedback enquiries.
