Robert Half has partnered with a professional services business to recruit a Credit Controller. This is a hands-on role managing a varied debtor portfolio while supporting cashflow performance and maintaining strong credit control standards within a collaborative finance team. The position is based in Bristol City Centre
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage your own portfolio of debt, holding regular discussions and review meetings with internal stakeholders.
* Resolve queries efficiently and escalate issues when required.
* Apply credit control and debt provisioning policies consistently across accounts.
* Maintain an accurate debtor ledger, ensuring prompt allocation of cash and minimal adjustments.
* Proactively pursue overdue balances and update senior managers on progress.
* Log all client interactions clearly in internal systems.
* Produce routine aged debt and portfolio performance reports.
* Flag accounts requiring escalation, including potential legal recovery action.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Experience in professional services or a stakeholder-focused environment.
* Strong Excel skills.
* Confident communicator, able to explain financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and handle sensitive conversations professionally.
* Proactive, solution-focused approach.
* Able to manage own workload while working closely with the wider team.
